GATE

2004

GATE is a site-specific performance project at the 11-acre 'stabilized ruin' of Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site in Philadelphia. 

Izu House

2008

Collaboration with dancer/choreographer Leah Stein, Roko Kawai, musician Toshi Makihara, and Tokyo artists Hideo Arai and Mika Kimula on site at Izu House in Chihan-An, Ohito, Izu Peninsula, Japan.

Battle Hymns

This co-commissioned score is performed by the Mendelssohn Club Chorus directed by Alan Harler with site-specific staging & choreography for singers & dancers by Leah Stein & music by composer David Lang.

This piece featured dancers Leah Stein and Jungwoong Kim and violinist Diane Monroe as they explored the full extent of the space, light, and sounds of the venue, an old industrial building converted into a dance studio.
