Leah Stein Dance Company is pleased to announce STUDIO WORKS, an ongoing studio performance series featuring local movement-based artists. This platform is an opportunity to see new work bridging dance, visual arts, theatre, and music. Crux
Crux is a 22-year-old, Jersey-born performance artist. She recently graduated from Temple University’s undergrad dance program. Currently, she is a teaching, performing, & choreographic artist, as well as a marketing & program associate throughout Philadelphia. She is the founder of Forbidden Fruit, a curatorial collective bridging the gap between artistic communities globally. Crux approaches art as a universal language with which humxnkind can heal on individual & collective levels.
Caitlin Green
Caitlin is a Philadelphia-based freelance dance artist with a Master's degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Drexel University (2019). In her work, she tends to concentrate on the body's role in wellness, individuality, & expressions of personal & collective narratives. Caitlin is a choreographer & she is a teaching artist with both youth & adults. She enjoys working collaboratively & with youth, as well as choreographing works that start conversation & inspire self-reflection.
Jungwoong Kim
Jungwoong Kim has been a performance artist---dancer, choreographer, designer, & film editor---for 20+ years. Born & raised in South Korea, he had extensive training in martial arts & Korean traditional dance & ritual.

He was awarded a 2015 grant from the Pew Center for Arts & Heritage for the creation of SaltSoul, a multi-disciplinary performance project.

Jungwoong teaches improvisation & Contact
Improvisation locally & internationally. He is a former dancer/collaborator for LSDC.

Jungwoong Kim
Jungwoong Kim has been a performance artist---dancer, choreographer, designer, & film editor---for 20+ years. Born & raised in South Korea, he had extensive training in martial arts & Korean traditional dance & ritual.

K-LOCA
Keila Cordova is a Philadelphia-based dance-maker, performer and writer. She creates original dance theatre works for her company, 3 Pony Show. Past evening-length dances include KITH , Linear Default, As Pretty Does and Volcano, My Love, As Pretty Does, Agnes Falling, Gold and Janet 2.0 and Mamibaile.
Lindsey Huster
Lindsey Huster is a mover and performing artist based in West Philadelphia. They recently completed Headlong Performance Institute's artist residency and and are are the choreographer for the mummers brigade, the Vaudevillains. They participate in other Philly dance and movement opportunities, the most recent being Night of 1,000 Kate’s. They perform drag under the name, Buff Biff.
Laura Vriend
received her doctorate in Critical Dance Studies at the University of California, Riverside. Her dissertation project mines relationships between social and critical theories of space and choreographic uses and ideas of space in the site-based choreographic works of Philadelphia companies Headlong Dance Theater, Nichole Canuso Dance Company and Kate Watson-Wallace anonymous bodies.
Maddie Rabin
Maddie Rabin is a musician, choreographer, dancer, and performance artist based in Philadelphia. She released her first album Autumn Bound in 2017. It was an ode of sorts to her community in Vermont. She has worked on many musical and choreographic projects since, including her first large-scale production Sprout! A Full-Length Not-A-Ballet, which premiered at the 2019 Philly Fringe Festival. She is currently playing in the band Ruby and working on a second album of newer songs.
STB x AT
Sean Thomas Boyt and Dr. Andy Thierauf have been cross-disciplinary collaborators for the past seven years, creating work that spans a variety of genres by using dance and percussion as mediums for engaging performance art. Incorporating electronics, improvisation, text, and physical theater, the “dance/perc” duo is constantly experimenting and producing material while refining their practices individually.
Sarah Cunningham
Sarah Cunningham is recognized as one of the foremost viola da gambists worldwide. She trained at Harvard University, the Longy School of Music, and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Holland. She was co-founder, with Monica Huggett, of Trio Sonnerie, with whom she recorded most of the important chamber music for violin and viol, and toured on four continents between 1982 and 1997.
